Avahanthi Homam is performed along with Ashtothra Archanai on the auspicious occasion of Anusham (the birth star of Sri MahaPeriyava) every month in the mornings. Pradosham is a combination of two words pra and dosham in which Pra means Removes, and Dosham means sins that is the time that removes sins. This Muhurtham comes every day, however, the Pradosham time on Trayodasi day is considered very auspicious. - Mahanyasa Poojai – Mahanyaasa Purvaka Ekadasa Rudra Padhuka Abhishekam
We at #NambaPeriyavaKovil have been conducting Mahanyasa Poorvaka Ekadasa Rudra Padhuka Abhishekam every month to Sri Utsavar Periyava & Sri Padhuka Periyava since 2014.Starting with Guru Vandhanam, Swasthi Vachanam, ritwiks chant Mahanyasam followed by Rudra Parayanam. Ekadasa Rudra Parayanam is the chanting of Sri Rudram eleven times. All eleven sections of Namakam are chanted followed by the first of the eleven sections of Chamakam. This pattern is repeated 11 times with each of the other 11 sections of Chamakam.Come, take part in Sankalpam & drench in Veda Gosham… For taking part in this auspicious event, please contact us today. Mahanyaasa Purvaka Ekadasa Rudra Padhuka Abhishekam usually takes place on the weekend after Anusham unless there are any other special events on that day.
