Sri MahaPeriyava Manimandapam
The Sri MahaPeriyava Manimandapam is envisioned to serve as a place of worship of The Sage of Kanchi, Jagadguru Sankaracharya Pujyasri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Swamigal – the 68th Peetadhipathi of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam.
Sri MahaPeriyava lived his life in austerity; travelled the entire length and breadth of India like Adi Shankara did; constantly imparted the teachings of Sanatana Dharma; prayed for loka kshema and the welfare of all living things. In one way or other, we all have been recipients of his benevolence which had no limit and no agenda. It will be our duty and privilege to look upon him as our spiritual guide, follow his teachings and impart them to our children. It is imperative that we have a place to offer our prayers to Him, to read and imbibe his teachings, to impart the tenets of Sanatana Dharma to our children so that they establish an anchor at their roots, to perform Hindu samskaras, to facilitate the learning of Sanskrit and Vedas and to have satsangas.
The Manimandapam is further conceptualized to have a dhyana (meditation) hall, veda adhyayana (vedic recitation) hall and a congregation hall for pravachana on Vedanta, Puranas and Itihasas. Provisions will be made to conduct the various Hindu samskaras as well in the authentic ways.
With the above goals in mind, let us all join hands to bring forth a Manimandapam for Him, that will serve as a beacon for the generations to come focusing on preserving our Vedic tradition and culture.
The trustees of Santana Dharma Foundation Inc. humbly request every devotee to become part of this divine project to show our “Krithignai” to Sri Maha Periyava, by their prayers and participation…
